Troopers Say Powell Co. Man Tried To Lure Minor for Sex

State Police arrested a 31-year-old man from Stanton after they said he traveled to Richmond to have sex with a 14-year-old girl.

According to officers, William Scott Hall’s arrest on January 10 was made possible by going undercover in an Internet Crimes Against Children investigation.

State police started looking into Hall after they found a posting he made on a popular website.

Hall was charged with one count of using electronic communication to lure a minor/peace officer for sex and lodged in the Madison County Detention Center.

Officers also searched Hall’s home early the next morning to examine the equipment he used.

They expect additional charges to be filed.
