Troopers investigate fatal officer-involved shooting in Covington
COVINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Kentucky State Police troopers have been requested by Covington Police Department to investigate an officer-involved shooting that occurred at approximately 11:34 p.m. June 17 in Covington.
At the request of the Covington Police Department, KSP’s Critical Incident Response Team and detectives from KSP Post 6 have arrived on the scene and the investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
A man was transported by Covington Fire Department to University of Cincinnati Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio, where he was pronounced deceased. An autopsy is pending by the Hamilton County Coroner’s Office in Cincinnati.
No officers or members of the community were injured during this incident.
