Tree, brush work may cause lane closures next three months
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists tree and brush trimming operations continue for District 7 to improve safety.
District 7 includes: Anderson, Bourbon, Boyle, Clark, Fayette, Garrard, Jessamine, Madison, Mercer, Montgomery, Scott and Woodford counties.
Flaggers will be onsite to guide and direct motorists through the work zones.
Fayette County
Note: work began Monday, Jan. 4, for Russell Cave Road/KY 353
Wednesday, Jan. 12 (currently) through Friday, Feb. 26 – 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. weekdays
- Russell Cave Road/KY 353 – work is in effect between the I-75/I-64 Overpass (milepoint 1.732) and Carrick Road (milepoint 10.153)
Fayette & Woodford Counties
Note: the start date has been changed from Monday, Jan. 25 to Monday, Jan. 18
Monday, Jan. 18 through Friday, Feb. 26 – 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. weekdays
- Military Pike/KY 1966 – operations will be between Shannon Run Road/KY 1967 (milepoint 0.000) and Keene Road/KY 1267 (milepoint 3.865)
Jessamine County
Monday, Feb. 15 through Friday, March 26 – 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. weekdays
- Keene Road/KY 169 – work will be between North Keene Way Drive (milepoint 12.363) and Cemetery Lane/KY 1267 (milepoint 16.555)
Scott County
Monday, Feb. 15 through Friday, March 26 – 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. weekdays
- Stamping Ground Road/KY 227 – operations will be between Frankfort Pike/US 460 (milepoint 0.000) and Woodlake Road/KY 1688 (milepoint 5.874)
All work, and closures are subject to change depending on weather, emergencies, and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
