UPDATE: I-75 in Rockcastle County reopens following accident

MOUNT VERNON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A stretch of southbound I-75 in Rockcastle County was shutdown Thursday night due to a multi-vehicle accident, according to the state.

Investigators say it happened shortly after 9:00 p.m. at mile marker 73.  The road reopened around 10:34 p.m., according to the state.

A detour was put in place during the temporary closure.
