Transylvania University Robbery Suspect Due in Court
The woman accused of robbing the accounting office at Transylvania University on Thursday is scheduled to be arraigned on Monday.
Police say, a woman walked into the Old Morrison building and told the workers she had a weapon.
The woman handed the clerk a note demanding money, according to court documents. The note continued to say, if the clerk did not comply, they would die.
The suspect got away with a small amount of cash, police officials say. The suspect can be seen in surveillance video running towards a waiting car.
Lexington Police arrested and charged Ray Ray Sharp-Warren, 33, with 1st Degree Robbery. Police say they believe she is the woman seen on the surveillance video.
Police say they are still looking for a second suspect, the man who was driving the get-a-way car after the robbery.
