Traffic stop leads to drug arrest

CORBIN, Ky. (WTVQ) – What began with a traffic stop for an expired license plate, ended with the arrest of three people on drug charges. Investigators say around 2:00 a.m. on Thursday, a KSP-Vehicle Enforcement officer pulled over a car on US 25E-Cumberland Gap Parkway in Corbin for having an expired plate.

Investigators say the driver, 26-year old Theresa Hall, of London, had an expired learners permit and numerous other traffic violations.

State Police say after getting consent to search the vehicle, investigators found marijuana, several types of paraphernalia pipes, syringe needles, zip lock bags, digital scales, 20 Xanax pills, 14 Gabapentin pills, 19.6 grams of Crystal Methamphetamine, and a fully loaded 9mm pistol.

Officers arrested Hall and her two passengers, 22-year old Ryan Hall of London and 26-year old Randy Harrison of Barbourville. All three were taken to jail in London.
