Traffic stop leads to drug arrest in Casey County

LIBERTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – A traffic stop landed a man in jail in Casey County on drug charges and it’s not the first time he’s been in trouble with the law, according to KSP.

Investigators say 44-year old Dewey Anderson, of Russell Springs, was pulled over Thursday for swerving on U.S. 127 just outside Liberty.

State Police say Anderson consented to a vehicle search that turned up a small amount of marijuana and a .22 caliber pistol.

Anderson was jailed on drug and other charges, including possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, according to KSP.
