SOMERSET, Ky. (WTVQ) -The Pulaski Co. Sheriff says a traffic stop let to the arrest of a Somerset man on various charges.
Investigators say a deputy was conducting a traffic check around 11:00 p.m. last Friday about 5 miles north of Somerset on Etna Road when the driver took off on foot into a nearby field. The deputy reportedly ran after the driver, and was eventually able to capture 28-year-old Christopher L. Harper.
The Sheriff says Harper drew a variety of charges in the incident, including not having an operator’s license, DUI, possession of drug paraphernalia, and evading police, among others. Harper was also arrested on separate charges related to a Pulaski Circuit Court Warrant.
A woman and a child who were passengers in Harper’s vehicle were uninjured in the incident.
