TRAFFIC ALERT: UK Commencement in Downtown Lexington

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Lexington Police Department is advising drivers of traffic congestion in downtown Lexington on Friday as University of Kentucky’s December Commencement ceremony is being held.

The Graduate and Professional Ceremony is being held at 10:00 a.m., while the much larger Undergraduate Ceremony is scheduled for 3:00 p.m.

Police say there will be limited parking before and after each ceremony.  Motorists headed downtown should plan on leaving early to arrive on time, and are asked to be patient and prepared for heavy traffic.
