Traffic Alert for busy Saturday in downtown Lexington
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – If you’re planning to head into downtown Lexington Saturday, ABC36 News has you covered on what road closures you can expect.
According to the Lexington Police Department’s traffic alert, here is a list of events and road closures:
Events
- Shamrock Shuffle 3K
- Start time: 8:30 a.m.
- Lexington St. Patrick’s Parade and Irish Festival
- Events planned from 10:45 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.
- KHSAA Girls’ Sweet 16 Tournaments
- Semifinal games are scheduled at 11:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
- Championship game is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
Road Closures
- W Main Street between N Upper Street and N Mill Street
- Closure 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
- W Short Street between N Upper Street and N Mill Street
- Closure 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
- Main Street between Midland Avenue and N Mill Street
- Closure 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
- Midland Avenue
- Closure from 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
- Main Street between Midland Avenue and N Mill Street
- Closure 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
