Traffic Advisory: Portion of South Upper in Lexington to close Tuesday

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – South Upper from Main Street to Vine Street in Lexington is scheduled to be closed for major utility construction beginning at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, August 22, and running through Tuesday, October 3.

The closure was originally scheduled to begin on August 15 but was postponed.

Parking will be unavailable in the construction zone. Businesses and the sidewalk on the block will remain open, and streetlights will remain operational.

Traffic will be detoured onto South Mill, but drivers can also use other streets such as South Martin Luther King Boulevard to High Street.
