Traffic Advisory: New Circle Road closure scheduled for bridge demolition
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Lane closures are scheduled this week for a section of New Circle Road at Newtown Pike for bridge demolition that will impact traffic.
The state says a left lane closure is scheduled beginning at 7:00 p.m. Monday, October 15, and a right lane shift will be in place under the bridge beginning at the same time and continuing until 6:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 16.
The outer loop of New Circle Road is scheduled to be closed from 9:00 p.m. Monday, October 15 through 6:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 16.
Traffic will be directed from the ramp across Newtown Pike for a right turn. There will not be a left turn into Lexington. Police will help with traffic control.
A left lane closure is scheduled from 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 16 through 6:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 17.
The inner loop is set to close at 9:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 16 through 6:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 17.
Traffic will be routed up over the ramp. Motorists can travel across or turn inbound on Newtown Pike. No traffic will be routed outbound.
Motorists traveling I-64 and I-75 should use the North Broadway Exit.
All this work is part of the New Circle Road/KY 4 widening project.
