Toys to be collected at Louisville men’s game
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) – Officials will be collecting toys at the KFC Yum Center next week when the Louisville men’s basketball team plays Western Kentucky.
A statement from Louisville basketball spokesman Kenny Klein says toys collected at the Dec. 19 game will be donated to Kosair Children’s Hospital.
Toys, which can be for boys or girls of any age, are being collecting in the lobby of the facility. The collection is being coordinated through the University of Louisville Athletics’ CardsCARE program and Kyle’s Korner for Kids, a community outreach program started by former Cardinals forward Kyle Kuric.
The statement says similar previous collections have each gathered about 2,000 toys.
