Tour Bus Overturns In Kentucky, Injuring Dozens
A tour bus accident in Hart County sent several children to the hospital.
It happened Wednesday night on Kentucky 728 about 70 miles south of Louisville.
Authorities said the bus overturned just a few minutes into a scheduled 14-hour trip to Washington D.C.
Kentucky State Police said the bus was carrying 34 students and 20 parents from the Cub Run community when it flipped.
About two dozen people were taken to the hospital to be treated for their injuries.
Authorities said one person suffered a head injury and others had broken bones but that none of the injuries appeared to be life-threatening.
The bus was operated by New Image Travel of Evansville, Indiana for Worldstrides.
Police said the trip was not school related.
