Tornado fatality and damage reported in Western Kentucky

WESTERN KENTUCKY. (WTVQ)- The National Weather Service has confirmed at least five tornadoes hit to our west Saturday night.

That’s in addition to the EF-2 strength tornado that caused this damage in Clarksville, Tennessee.

The same strength tornado started near the border and hit Logan County.

The National Weather Service reports Logan County got a second tornado, an EF-1, that was on the ground for about a minute.

Another tornado hit near Warren and Barren Counties with 100 mile per hour winds.

The others were an EF-2 in Christian County and an EF-0 in McCracken County.

The National Weather Service says it will continue evaluating whether other tornadoes touched down.

The sheriff’s office says 79-year-old Dallas Jane Combs died when her Adairville home collapsed on her.

According to deputies, her husband was outside putting up plastic to keep the rain out when wind blew him into the basement, causing some minor injuries.
