Tip leads to woman’s arrest, recovery of stolen four-wheeler

MANCHESTER, Ky. (WTVQ) – An anonymous tip led to the arrest of a woman Tuesday in Clay County in connection to a stolen four-wheeler and numerous outstanding warrants, according to the Clay County sheriff.

The sheriff says the tip led investigators to a home on Brushy Branch Road.  They say they found a four-wheeler that had been stolen from Owsley County attached to the porch.

While there, 43-year old Leslie Hooker, pulled into the driveway.  Investigators say when they questioned her, she appeared nervous and acted suspiciously.

They say they learned Hooker had numerous outstanding warrants in Clay County.

Deputies say they also found illegal controlled substances, various drivers licenses and social security cards belonging to other people and a large amount of counterfeit money.  They say they also found the key to the stolen four-wheeler.

Hooker was arrested on a number of charges, including Receiving Stolen Property Under $10,000, according to investigators.

She was taken to the Clay County Detention Center.
