Three Shot Outside Home In Lexington

Three people were injured, one critically, during a shooting in Lexington Sunday night, according to police.
Police responded to 729 Florence Avenue at around 10:30 p.m. to a report of shots fired.

When they arrived, they found three victims in front the home. Two victims were taken by ambulance to the hospital, one of them with life-threatening injuries. The third was taken by a private car to a local hospital.
Police said a fourth person was injured during the shooting, but was not shot. They said she injured her knee when she was trying to seek cover during the shooting. She was taken to an area hospital with minor injuries.
Police said they found bullets lodged in two houses but no one inside the homes were injured.
Officials did not comment on a possible cause of the shooting but said they are looking for a dark-colored "boxy type car" in connection to shootings.

Throughout the night, Lexington Police responded to six other shots fired calls in the area, police officials said. In two calls, they found cars had been struck by bullets.

Police detectives are investigating to see if the shots fired calls and the shooting on Florence Avenue are connected.
