Three juveniles arrested after police chase in Georgetown

GEORGETOWN, Ky. (WTVQ)- Georgetown Police say a tip lead to the arrests of three juveniles and the recovery of a stolen vehicle.

Police say an officer on foot approached the vehicle on Scroggins Park Drive after a concerned citizen reported suspicious activity there.

Officers say the driver then turned the car toward the officer, nearly hitting the officer.

Other officers in the area spotted the vehicle speeding on South Broadway.

Police say the driver lost control and struck another vehicle in front of Georgetown Community Hospital.

Police arrested three people, all juveniles. During the arrests, officers discovered it was a stolen car from Lexington.

According to police, there was drugs in the car and one of the juveniles had a handgun.
