Three arrested in connection to robbing spree and murder
FRANKFORT, Ky. (WTVQ)- Frankfort police have arrested three people in connection to multiple robberies and a murder that happened last week.
Three people are in jail after a spree of robberies here in Frankfort, one at a gas station ending with a man dead.
Luis Garcia and Mike Nesselrode are still trying to come to terms with what happened to their friend 54-year-old Adan Vincente Juarez.
“I still can’t believe it. It’s like a bad dream for me because I don’t understand what kind of people, you live together with some people who can do this kind of bad thing,” said Luis Garcia.
Frankfort police say Juarez was shot to death outside of a Marathon gas station Friday night after two men robbed him at gun point.
“It’s just senseless to lose your live for under $200 if that. I’m not sure if they even got away with anything,” said Mike Nesselrode.
Police arrested 22-year-old James Johnson Jr. and 24-year-old Emmanuel Bush in connection to Juarez’s death.
They say the two and a third man 21-year-old Jarqueze Bunton had also robbed a nearby Mexican restaurant and Circle K gas station earlier this month.
“People like me like him like Alan, working every day for health support families in Mexico and these people do something like that that’s real bad I don’t have words to tell you how I feel,” said Garcia
Garcia says Juarez was originally from Mexico and came to America for work.
He says he made a vigil near the area Juarez was killed as a way to pay his respect.
“We use it in mexico. It’s a tradition. Something for him because that’s all we can do now and try to help the family in mexico,” said Garcia.
Johnson Jr. and Bush are charged with murder and two counts of robbery.
Bunton is just charged with two counts of robbery.
