Three arrested, 1 wanted in connection to Danville armed home invasion
DANVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ) – Police in Danville are investigating an armed home invasion that happened on Thursday night.
Officers say they were called to a home on Patrician Place at about 10:40 p.m. Investigators say the caller told them that a man had come to the home and asked for a drink of water. While inside, police say the man went to the back door and opened it, letting in three other suspects, two of whom were armed with semi-automatic pistols.
Police say the suspects then ordered the 5 people in the house to lay on the floor, and demanded money and a cellphone. The suspects then left through the back door, according to officers.
Police say the people living in the home were able to identify the suspects, even though they had covered their faces with bandanas and a hand towel. From their investigation, police say they were able to obtain warrants for the suspects, three of whom were were arrested early Friday morning, at around 2:40 a.m. on Heartland Drive.
19-year-old Justin Johnson, 21-year-old Austin Johnson, and 24-year-old Kery Holder were all charged with robbery, wanton endangerment, and unlawful imprisonment. Their mugshots were not available at the time of publication.
A fourth suspect, 27-yer-old Darryl Whitley, also known as “DK,” is still wanted. Whitley is described as 6’2” tall, weighing about 200 pounds. Police say he is considered armed and dangerous.
