Thousands come out for the Annual KY Pride Fest
LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – June is Pride month and The Lexington Pride Center held their annual Kentucky Pride Festival on Saturday.
The festival, which was held at the Central Bank Center, started at 11 a.m. and lasted until 9 p.m.
An official with the Lexington Pride Center says they expect between 20 to 30 thousand people to come out and celebrate.
Attendees were able to listen to live music, watch drag shows, visit over 200 vendors and celebrate pride month.
“Our festival continues to grow every year and it’s just phenomenal to see this many people,” said Catherine Taylor, with the Pride Center. “And not only to see this many people, but to see this many people smiling with happy faces and genuinely enjoying each other.”
The next event for The Lexington Pride Center is the after party and silent auction tomorrow at battle axes from noon to 9 p.m. on Sunday.
