Third Kentucky school district sues e-cigarette companies
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ) – The largest school district in the state has become the third to sue the manufacturers of electronic cigarettes.
The Jefferson County Board of Education voted unanimously on Tuesday to file a lawsuit against manufacturers, distributors and sellers of e-cigarettes and vaping products.
The board says the lawsuit will help reduce teen vaping and recover costs associated with student use of e-cigarette products.
Fayette County and Bullitt County schools have filed similar lawsuits.
