The new normal

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – EKU is coming off a bye week.

That after kicking off the season on a Thursday night at home before hitting the road for NC State.

It’ll be a weird season for Eastern in general.

With holidays and breaks…it just won’t feel like most programs’ regular Sunday to Saturday grind.

And while it might not be perfect, that’s the way things are and head coach Dean Hood is doing his best to explain it to the team.

Hear from Hood in the video.

While coach wants his players to try and get into a rhythm, he knows it’s hard to do.

There is a piece of good news for the Colonels this week as EKU hosts Austin Peay…Eastern has won 13 straight games coming off an open week.

It isn’t easy to get into that rhythm when things are so inconsistent though.

Overall, the team seems to have coach’s approach down pat.

Hear from senior tight end Ben Madon in the video.
