The Creative Warehouse opens in Lexington

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) — The Creative Warehouse in Lexington is having its grand opening sale December 3-6 and it is raising money for the Woodford Humane Society.

Owner Heather Miller says it is important to give back to the community so she is raffling off a gingerbread house with the proceeds going to the “no kill” shelter in Woodford County.

The Creative Warehouse sells refurbished items. Miller says she takes old things and makes them new again with her own artistic flair.

The Creative Warehouse plans to be open a few days each month, featuring a different theme. This month the warehouse boutique is selling “All things Christmas: The old fashioned way.”

“If you buy something handmade it says, ‘I thought of you,’ ” says Miller. “I think it just means more.” She says in January the store plans to feature UK items.

The Creative Warehouse is located at 1015 Contract Street and will be open 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. On Saturday and on Sunday 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
