Temperatures and rain chances trending upward through the week
Mild and calm for the first Monday of 2026
We’re starting chilly with temperatures in the 30s and 20s. We’ll quickly warm up, though, as winds pick up out of the SW, gusting up to 20 mph. This will bring in warmer air, and by the afternoon temperatures reach the upper 50s for most, some to the south are near 60. Skies will stay mostly clear, with a few upper-level clouds throughout the day.
Clouds will increase overnight, becoming mostly cloudy. This helps to keep temperatures mild and by tomorrow morning, most of us will have only dropped to the mid 40s.
Slight rain chance for mid-week, but mostly dry
Tuesday will be cloudy with the chance for some isolated drizzle. On and off rain chances through the afternoon will bring some of us soggy conditions, but many will see mostly dry time.
Temperatures through the afternoon warm to the upper 50s. Wednesday will be in the 50s as well, with some lingering cloud cover and maybe a few raindrops in the morning. The afternoon should be dry with clouds clearing.
Bigger rain chances for late week
Thursday will see cloud cover moving in and an increase in rain chances. Afternoon temperatures look to reach the low 60s, and rain chances mainly move in through the evening and overnight into Friday morning. There will likely be periods of light to moderate rainfall, with no impacts expected.
Friday, the rain holds on with a majority of the morning staying soggy. There may be some periods of dry time in the afternoon. Temperatures will be in the 60s yet again.
A cold front looks to move through Friday night, and this will bring another chance for moderate rainfall.
Temperatures falling through the weekend
Following the PM cold front, Saturday afternoon will likely see temperatures dropping. We’ll see highs in the 40s. Sunday trends even colder, possible only in the 30s. Longterm forecast trends show next week trending cooler, at least for the start of the week.
