Teenager arrested in connection to shooting in Lexington

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Lexington Police Department says a 17-year-old is under arrest for the shooting of another teenager last week.

The shooting happened around 10:15 p.m. Wednesday, November 21.

Officers were called to Carlisle Avenue and found a 16-year-old suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Police say their investigation revealed a drug deal led up to the shooting.

The suspect is charged with assault, receiving stolen property, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of controlled substance (cocaine).

Police are prohibited from releasing the suspect’s name because he is a juvenile.
