Technology Helped Doctors Treat Jockey Calvin Borel After Fall

Keeneland says technology made a big difference in getting Jockey Calvin Borel treated after a nasty spill.

Borel broke his leg Wednesday when he was thrown from a horse during a race.

Doctors say a ‘jockey health information’ database helped them prepare for Borel’s treatment.

The program was started at Keeneland a few years ago.

It’s now at 50 race tracks across the country.

It holds all of the jockey’s health information and history.

More than 600 jockeys are now registered in the system.
