Tattoo Charlie’s holding cancer benefit

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – On November 23rd, 2015, Tattoo Charlie’s will host their fifth annual Tattoos Against Cancer benefit.  All three studios will be doing tattoos all day for charity.  Proceeds with be donated to Meghan’s Mountain Charitable Foundation benefiting direct patient care for children and adults in our community.

“Charlie, my dad, taught me the value of giving back to the community with the charity work he did.” says Buddy Wheeler, Tattoo Charlie’s son.  “Meghan’s father Jerry and my dad were very close friends for decades.  It is an honor to be able to give to their foundation in my dad’s name.”

All three Tattoo Charlie’s locations will be participating. The Lexington studio will be open 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., the Preston Hwy studio in Louisville will be open 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m., and the Dixie Hwy studio in Louisville will be open from noon to 8:00 p.m.  All studios will be tattooing on a walk in basis only, no appointments will be taken.  All studios will have a page of designs to choose from. Most people donate $40-$60 while some donate $100 or more. The minimum donation is $20.

In the last four years, the shop has raised over $25,000 for Meghan’s Mountain from benefits and fundraisers.
