‘Taste of the Bluegrass’ raises money for God’s Pantry
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Good food for a good cause. Friday’s ‘Taste of the Bluegrass’ at Keeneland in Lexington attracted an estimated 1,200 people who sampled food and drinks from more than 60 area businesses.
It cost $85 to get into the event, with the proceeds going to God’s Pantry Food Bank. The pantry’s CEO estimated the event took in at least $100,000, which the organization can buy $1 million worth of food for the hungry in the 50 county service area in central and eastern Kentucky.
