The bridge was closed September 3, 2015, after the state found significant deterioration during a routine evaluation, which raised public safety concerns.
Exploratory drilling work was scheduled to begin September 29, 2014, at the Kennedy Mill Bridge that carries KY 152 over Herrington Lake at the Garrard-Mercer County line near Burgin.
