Suspected overdose death leads to manslaughter charge

ASHLAND, Ky. (WTVQ) – A Boyd County woman was charged with manslaughter after a man was found dead in her home from a suspected drug overdose, according to police.

Investigators say 36-year old Jeran Dishman, of Ashland, was charged after Lawrence M. Hardin was found dead in her Floyd Street home Monday morning.

Police say Dishman was charged with 2nd Degree Manslaughter, First-Offense Trafficking in a Controlled Substance and Trafficking in a Controlled Substance within 1,000 Feet of a School.
