Suspect possibly stabbed with sword during violent home invasion

LONDON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A woman who says she was assaulted by two women during a violent home invasion Friday night may have stabbed one of the intruder’s with a sword, according to the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies say this happened at a home on Old Union Church Road, approximately two miles south of London around 6:30 p.m.

The reported victim says two women knocked on her door and when she opened the door slightly, the two women forced their way in and assaulted her. She told deputies she thinks she may have stabbed one of the suspect’s with a sword.

Investigators say the two intruders took off without taking anything from the home.

The assault victim was taken by ambulance to St. Joseph Hospital London with moderate injuries, according to deputies.

The suspects were described as 5’0″ tall, small build with light brown hair and 5’8″ tall, 200 pounds with red blue and blonde hair.
