Suspect in multi-state burglaries in custody in Lexington
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A man wanted in connection to burglaries in several states is in custody in Lexington.
Court documents say 20-year-old David Scott burglarized two homes in Lexington back on November 18, 2015. Police say in both of those burglaries, electronic items were taken. In one of the burglaries, a Lafayette High School class ring was stolen.
Documents say shortly after the burglaries, Scott got into a pursuit with Georgetown Police, with speeds reaching 144 miles per hour. Scott and another man, identified as Kristopher Wooten, were stopped and arrested. Police say several items taken in those burglaries were found.
Police say Scott and Wooten are from Florida. Investigators say the two would drive to other states, burglarizing homes located near the interstate.
