Suspect and stolen car get away after police foot chase

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A suspect who got out of a stolen car and ran from police, got away Tuesday night, according to Lexington Police.

Investigators say an officer spotted a stolen Infinity on Winburn Drive around 6:00 p.m.

Police say the driver refused to pull over.  Investigators say when the car was near Winburn Middle School, one person got out of the car and ran from police.

They say an officer gave chase, a perimeter was set up around the area and a K-9 was brought-in.  Police say the dog never picked-up on a scent and the suspect got away.

Police say there were still people inside the stolen car and the vehicle managed to get away as well.

The search for the stolen car and the suspect(s) continue.
