Suspect allegedly steals two different cars in Lexington overnight
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) — According to police, a man stole two separate cars in Lexington overnight, before a citizen’s tip led to his arrest.
Police say it started with a call about a stolen car near Whitney Avenue and Hickory Street.
By the time police located that vehicle, it was abandoned and police had received another call about a different stolen car.
They found that car, also abandoned, in the 400 block of Price Avenue.
Police say a person living on Price Avenue called them about a man running through their backyard, which led police to arrest a suspect.
He is being charged with two counts of receiving stolen property.
