Sunny skies and comfortable temperatures continue across the Bluegrass
A stretch of dry, pleasant fall weather holds steady through the week.
Quiet and Comfortable Weekend Weather Continues
It’s been a beautiful start to the weekend across central and eastern Kentucky, and that pleasant fall stretch isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. Temperatures this afternoon climbed back into the low to mid-70s under plenty of sunshine, making it perfect weather for any outdoor plans.
As we move into tonight, expect another clear and cool evening. Overnight lows will dip down into the low to mid-40s, with a few spots in urban areas staying just a bit warmer. Skies stay clear, and winds remain calm — a great setup for a crisp October night.
Sunny Skies Stick Around Through Sunday
Sunday looks nearly identical to today, bringing another day of plenty of sunshine and comfortable highs in the low 70s. Winds will stay light out of the northeast, keeping conditions calm and dry. If you’ve got any outdoor activities planned — whether it’s fall festivals, hiking, or yard work — you’ll have another fantastic day for it.
More of the Same to Start the Week
As we head into the new week, not much changes in the overall pattern. High pressure will stay in control, keeping skies mostly sunny and conditions dry through at least midweek. Monday will feature more sunshine and slightly warmer temperatures, with highs climbing into the mid to upper 70s, and even a few low 80s possible across western parts of the region.
By Tuesday, a weak cold front will slip through the area. It won’t bring any rain, but it will knock our highs back into the low to mid-70s — and by the end of the week, some spots could even see highs in the upper 60s, giving us a refreshing fall feel once again.
Looking Ahead: Dry Stretch Holding Strong
The extended forecast keeps things dry through the rest of the workweek. The next chance for any rain doesn’t arrive until next weekend, as another system works in from the west. Models differ slightly on timing — some bring rain in as early as Saturday, others hold off until Sunday — but either way, it looks like we’ll finally have a shot at some showers by then.
Until that point, enjoy what looks to be a beautiful, dry, and seasonable stretch of October weather across the Bluegrass!
