Student responsible for racist graffiti in Franklin Co. school identified
FRANKFORT, Ky. (WTVQ) – Franklin Co. Public Schools released a message on their facebook page saying they believe they have identified a student who wrote racist and threatening graffiti in a boy’s restroom.
According to the school system, over the past few days, a student had been writing racial slurs on the walls. The school painted over the graffiti, but say Thursday morning, additional graffiti appeared that threatened violence against the school.
The facebook message says the school identified a suspect and questioned him. Along with additional evidence the school believes this student to be the person responsible for the graffiti. The Franklin Co. Sheriff’s Office is working with the school in evaluating the evidence. Franklin Co. Public Schools says once the evidence is confirmed they will take appropriate legal and disciplinary steps.
