Student in custody following threat at Scott County High School

GEORGETOWN, Ky. (WTVQ) – A student was taken into custody Friday after police say a threat was made on social media.

According to the Georgetown Police Department, the student made threats of violence against Scott County High School on Snapchat Thursday night.

They say another student came forward with screenshots of the threat Friday morning and that led to the arrest.

As a precaution, police say additional officers were sent to patrol the school on Friday.
