Student arrested, accused of threatening staff member
HARLAN, Ky. (WTVQ) – A Harlan County High School student was arrested after allegedly threatening a staff member, according to the Harlan County Sheriff’s Office.
The nature of the alleged threat was not released. No name or age was released because the student is a juvenile.
The student was charged Monday with Terroristic Threatening 2nd Degree (Class D Felony), according to deputies.
A court designated worker was contacted and the student was taken to the Breathitt County Juvenile Detention Center, according to investigators.
The case remains under investigation.
