Strode Station marker dedication

WINCHESTER, Ky. (WTVQ) – A grave marker dating back to the Revolutionary War may now have a final resting place.

A local engineer, Bob Baldwin, found the marker memorializing the lives of early Strode Station settlers.
He has had it since the 1980’s, after finding it in a ditch on the north side of U.S. 60 during  construction on the bypass.  The remains of those settlers and the original monument are now in the process of being moved to Winchester Cemetery.

The Hart chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution ask if you are a Strode Station descendant, or know of any, to contact them.
