Storms Crashing Down on Somerset Area
The National Weather Service reports that storms rolling through the Bluegrass are having a significant impact in Somerset and the surrounding area, knocking a tree onto a home and downing power lines and tree limbs.
At this point, the NWS says the tree that fell onto a house was located on KY-1247.
They also report fallen trees and power lines in the northeastern part of Somerset.
The NWS also received a report from a trained spotter who observed tree limbs three inches in diameter that had been blown down around half a mile west of the US Highway 27 and KY-80 intersection.
A train spotter also noted a tree on Bee Creek Road that had blown down.
