Storm damage reports still coming in from Estill County
IRVINE, Ky. (WTVQ) – New storm damage reports are still coming in from Estill County a week after the storms ripped through the area.
The latest statistics from Emergency Management show 21 homes destroyed and 201 damaged.
The Donation Drop-Off Center is in need of disposable plates, bowls, cups, forks and spoons. Totes and tarp’s are also needed. Grocery cards are needed so people can buy refrigerated food.
Officials say they’re getting low on mops, brooms, buckets, laundry detergent, dish soap and window cleaner.
Officials say they do not need any more water or clothing.
The drop-off center is located at the Helping Hands Outreach on Main Street in Ravenna.
Anyone with storm damage, regardless of how small, is asked to contact Emergency Management at 606-723-6533. People should call that same number if they need help with storm debris removal. All debris should be moved to the curb for pickup.
People interested in volunteering to be on a clean-up crew should register at the Estill County Fair Barn between 9:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.
