Stolen laptop located during traffic stop

Taylor County, Ky. (WTVQ)- A man is arrested after police located a stolen laptop during a traffic stop.

28 year-old Stephen Pilkington of Campbellsville was stopped by Troopers on Sunday, July 29 just after 11 PM on Logan Street in Campbellsville.

Pilkington had an outstanding warrant against him.

Troopers were given consent to search the vehicle, which resulted in the locating of a stolen laptop on the front floor board.

Pilkington was arrested and taken to the Taylor County Detention Center.

During booking, Pilkington attempted to get rid of a small bag, of what was suspected to be meth, by throwing it on the floor.

He is charged with the outstanding bench warrant, no tail lights, failure to wear seat belts, operating on suspended or revoked license, failure to produce insurance card, DUI 2nd offense, receiving stolen property U/$10,000, promoting contraband and tampering with physical evidence.
