LPD: Juveniles steal car, cause accident

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Lexington Police say the driver of a stolen car caused an accident on Old Paris Pike at New Circle Road.

Officers say it happened just before 1:00 p.m. Wednesday.  Police say they were following a stolen vehicle traveling inbound on Old Paris Pike.  Police say the driver of the car sped up, and then was t-boned at the intersection of New Circle Road.

The three occupants in the vehicle ran away, say investigators, but were quickly located and arrested.

Officers say all of the occupants in the vehicle were 15 years old.

The driver was charged with wanton endangerment, evading police, and receiving stolen property.  The passengers were charged for evading police and receiving stolen property.

Police say the driver of the vehicle had a minor injury.
