UPDATE: Name released of State Trooper who accidentally shot himself

UPDATE: BELL COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ)- The State Trooper who accidentally shot himself Tuesday in Bell County while trying to put his rifle back in his cruiser has been identified by KSP as Joey Brigman.

He was shot in the arm.

He was airlifted to a hospital in Tennessee where he’s expected to make a full recovery.

BELL COUNTY,Ky. (WTVQ)- A State Trooper accidentally shot himself in the arm Tuesday while putting a rifle away in his car in Bell County, according to KSP.

The Trooper, whose name wasn’t released, was taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries, according to State Police.
