State Treasurer first KY Constitutional officer to give birth while in office
FRANKFORT, Ky. (WTVQ) – A birth brings a first for Kentucky.
Kentucky State Treasurer Allison Ball gave birth to a son, Levi Adrian Swan, on Tuesday, making her the first Kentucky Constitutional officer in history to give birth while in office
The child is the first born to Ball and her husband, Asa James Swan.
“Asa and I are excited to welcome our son into the world. We are thankful for this blessing from God and grateful for our family, friends, Dr. Cornelia Poston, and the staff of Norton’s Healthcare in Louisville for all their support during this exciting season,” Treasurer Ball said. The child is the first born to Treasurer Ball and her husband, Asa James Swan. The family is recovering well.
Elected in 2015, Ball is also currently the nation’s youngest female statewide elected official.
