UPDATE: KSP apprehend escaped inmate from Marshall Co.

PADUCAH, Ky. (WTVQ) – Kentucky State Police say they have apprehended a man who escaped from the Marshall County Detention Center on February 26th.

Troopers say their investigation led them to a home on Meacham Lane in McCracken County.  When they arrived, police say the man they were looking for, 27-year-old Justin Goad ran away from the home on foot.

Officers were able to catch Goad after a brief foot chase.

He was charged with escape, and fleeing or evading police.

Troopers say they also arrested another person at the home, Kayla M. Birdwell, of Paducah.  She was charged on drug possession offenses, and served an outstanding warrant.

Mugshots were not immediately available for either Goad or Birdwell.

State Police looking for escaped inmate

State Police are looking for an escaped inmate from Marshall County.

Deputies say 27-year-old Justin Goad from Paducah escaped Sunday afternoon.

He is 5 foot 9, 145 pounds, with red hair and brown eyes.

He was wearing a gray sweatshirt and sweatpants with dark colored shoes.

Troopers say Goad was serving time for drug trafficking and burglary.
