State Police Fight Against Meth With Early Morning Raid

Eight months of investigation led to multiple arrests throughout the Bluegrass Friday morning.

State Police said they, along with the Scott County Sheriff, headed to counties throughout the area to charge at least 41 people for either trafficking or making meth.

The majority of those arrested were in Scott County, where investigators say they tracked down one of the largest meth rings in the area.

According to State Police, 5 of those 41 people charged were indicted by the Scott County grand jury for involvement in organized crime.

State Police said even though today they took many of those drug makers off the street, meth is still a big threat to Scott County and the whole state.

Troopers are asking for the public’s help in the fight against meth and say if you know of people using or making it in your area, call police.
