Stamp Out Hunger donations surpass last year

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Food donations from the "Stamp Out Hunger" program will help quite a few families in Kentucky who could use some help getting meals on the table.

Saturday, people all over the country were asked to put some food out with their mail so mail carriers could deliver it to local food banks.  God’s Pantry food bank in Lexington was one of the groups in central Kentucky that received that food.
They say they got almost 12,000 pounds of food this year, which is about 3,000 pounds more than last year.
