St. Joseph East Hospital put on lockdown after receiving threats
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) — Saint Joseph East Hospital in Lexington was put on lockdown after an unknown suspect called the hospital making threats early Wednesday morning, according to Lexington Police.
Investigators say around 5:45 a.m. they received a call from employees at the hospital stating that an unknown man called the hospital making general threats.
The hospital followed protocol and locked-down the entire facility as police completed a thorough search.
The lockdown has since been lifted.
According to police, there are no suspects at this time but an investigation is underway.
